Education
Garrison Art Center was founded in 1964 by a group of local parents interested in supplementing
their children's arts education. Since then, it has grown exponentially and offers various classes,
workshops, community outreach, and summer programs that serve all ages, skill levels, and
diverse interests. Our acclaimed summer programs consist of Summer Arts on the Hudson for K-8th
graders, Summer Art Institute for high schoolers, and our new customizable Art a la Carte program
for 2nd-8th graders. In addition to our gallery space, the educational facilities include a printmaking
studio, clay studio, and drawing room nestled in a bucolic location on the banks of the Hudson River.
