About Garrison Art Center
Founded on the banks of the Hudson River in 1964, Garrison Art Center seeks to connect and enrich lives by cultivating an open environment for the creation and appreciation of art.
Since its founding, GAC has become a vital community resource for the arts and arts education in the Hudson Valley, serving more than 6,500 individuals onsite each year through exhibitions, classes, four annual events, free workshops, and outreach education — and reaching 25,000+ more online. Each year we host thirteen gallery exhibitions featuring over 680 emerging, mid-career, and established regional artists, and offer more than 70 onsite programs for all ages in fine arts, printmaking, fiber arts, mixed media, and ceramics.
