Through education, exhibition, and community outreach programming, our vision is to foster a vibrant, diverse community where art is everywhere and accessible for ALL to experience.

Annually, the art center hosts over 1,800 students onsite for more than 70 programs for adults and children in fine arts, printmaking, fiber arts, mixed media, and ceramics taught by 40 teaching artists. In 2024-25, we provided 11 outreach programs to over 760 people at 34 locations.
Annually, we host 15 exhibitions in our galleries. These feature juried, solo, member, and student shows. In 2024 alone, 860 individuals showed their creative work at GAC: 630 young creators, ages 5-18, displayed in our galleries; 230 fine artists joined us for our juried exhibitions and member shows.
Our three annual events support our mission, foster crafts, and fine arts in the Hudson Valley, and function as anticipated seasonal gatherings. In 2024, 110 potters and artisans showcased handmade goods at Garrison Craft and The Holiday Pottery Show & Sale. Our Annual Auction encouraged artists to find inspiration in the Hudson Valley and included 40 regional artists.
