Since 2012 the Summer ARTtots program for Pre-K children has offered the youngest budding artists a place to create and explore art. The three weeks artistic development runs concurrently with our highly acclaimed Summer Arts on the Hudson program for kindergarteners through 8th grade.
Summer ARTtots is a huge hit with parents, children and the surrounding community. Enrolling your child in this program gives your small artist an opportunity to explore new ways to talk about art, fundamental skills to visualize and represent the world around them through drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, color theory, and more. Each day includes story time and demonstrations from Art Center teaching artists who provide additional inspiration for our ARTtots. Three themed weeks incorporate a curriculum that is designed to build off each other. Special events include the Art-A-Fair, which is a two-hour block where families are invited to come and share in the art-making process.
