Silent Auction May 9 through May 17
The Riverside Art Auction, previously known as Artists on Location, was founded in 1981 by renowned plein air painter Donald Jurney. The Auction is known for the beauty of its location on the bank of the Hudson River as well as the festive atmosphere and diversity of masterful works by Hudson Valley Artists. This year will be a bit of a "Plein Air Revival" as we encouraged painters to create works the morning of the Auction once again.
Nicholas D. Lowry and George Lowry, president and chairman respectively of Swann Galleries, served as the auctioneers in May 2019 and brought their expertise and lively style to the auction. (Read an informative interview with Nicho about the Antiques Road Show here.) 70+ Hudson Valley Artists will be included in the Silent Auction which ran May 11 – May 19. Last bid May 19 at 4:30 pm.
