Since we can’t have our program in person this summer, we are bringing the Summer Arts on the Hudson program to you! Each week a box containing the directions and materials for five projects will be provided for your child, each developed by one of our experienced Summer Program teaching artists. Instruction for each of these projects will be provided in two forms: Detailed instructions included with the project materials and a live online class tailored to each age group. Don’t want to have to be on the computer at a fixed time? No problem! All lessons will be recorded and sent to enrolled participants so they can rewatch and create at their own pace.
We will still be having art exhibitions in virtual form and lots of fun stuff you remember from previous years of Summer Arts on the Hudson. This summer's theme is Express Yourself! Exploring Abstract Expressionism. Keeping creativity and artistic expression in your child’s life this summer is more important than ever. We welcome all artists entering kindergarten through 8th grade.
Families have the option to sign up for one, two, or all three weeks. Each week the projects will be different so there won’t be any repeats. Boxes will be picked up at Garrison Art Center unless other arrangements are made.
A bonus project and surprise will be included in boxes for children enrolled in all three weeks, plus there is an additional savings of $75! Sign up for the full three week program by June 15 to ensure a spot and a weekly box of creativity.
