Keeping a record, whether hiking, gardening, or exploring new places is a great way to recall our experiences. For the gardener a journal can help to see changes, record timing, and aid in identification. Sure we all carry a camera everywhere these days, but studies show that sketching and writing aid in memory recall and learning. Your journal can be whatever you want it to be. A creative art book or a serious documentation of plants. Susan will get you started with a basic travel kit, introduce you to drawing for botanical documentation and guide you through some fast and fun techniques to make your journal something you’ll treasure.
