1 Week, July 20-24, Monday-Friday, 2pm-4:30pm
Teacher: Lise Prown
High School students will learn the basics of comics-making, by playing with drawn facial expressions, body language, page layout designs and story arcs. We will explore the process of idea-making, sketching layouts, and inking techniques via short exercises and prompts and then move on to creating original comic works.
Drawing or writing experience is a plus, as well as, an open mind and a willingness to share your stories. By the end of the class, students will have inked their own one-page comic, and collaborated with attendees on an eight-panel mini-zine to take home!
