MEMBER EXHIBITION | January 28 - February 12, 2023

Exhibiting Artist Members can collect their work on Feb 14 & 15 between 10 am and 5 pm.
The annual Member Exhibition features the works of our Artist Members, whom we are proud to support in our galleries. Thanks to our members, it has been possible for GAC to thrive as a non-profit art center in this community for 59 years. Over the decades, members have added their important voices to the collective voice that sings out in support of art and art education. This year we have 100 artworks in multiple mediums: painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, fiber arts, sculpture, and ceramics.
Artist Member benefits include an automatic invite to participate in the Annual Member Exhibition. Become a member by visiting www.garrisonartcenter.org.
In addition to the Member Exhibition, an exhibition of collages by artist Anita Jacobson will be on display in our drawing room from February 3rd through February 12th. On Saturday, February 11th, at 3 pm, GAC will host a reading in our drawing room of poems related to Anita’s collages by poet Joan Turner. This will be followed by a book signing of their collaborative book, Entrelacé.
Entrelacé, or Entwined in English, grew from Anita and Joan’s friendship and the discovery that taking inspiration from each other’s work greatly enhanced their individual creative process. On some occasions, Joan creates poems influenced by Anita’s collages; on other occasions, Anita’s collages are created in response to Joan’s poems. A rare example of true collaboration, Entrelacé will be for sale with all the proceeds generously going to Garrison Art Center.
