| Sculptor Alejandro Dron was born in Argentina and moved to the United States in 1996, when he received a Fulbright Grant in Visual Arts. He completed his MFA in Computer Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Dron has shown his work in numerous solo and group shows in Argentina, Spain and the USA since 1982. He was nominated for the 2003 Rockefeller Foundation Media Arts Fellowship. Recent shows include the 2005 Newburgh and 2007 Kingston Sculpture Biennials, the Argentinean Consulate of New York, Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Reina Sofia in Madrid, Spain, and at Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dron has taught at the School of Visual Arts and at ITP Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. His pieces are part of public and private collections both in the USA and in Argentina. Dron currently lives and works in Newburgh, NY.
