February 2008

Dear GAC Teaching Artists:

Spring will be here soon and classes will be filling up. GAC once again invites you to propose a new class or workshop (or continue one), for Spring 2008.

Due to an expressed interest, we are particularly interested in drawing and /or painting classes for adults and children.

Please fill out all the information on the enclosed Class Proposal Form. Remember, your course description will appear in the brochure as you write it.  So please be articulate, clear & exciting.

Important Scheduling Information, Restrictions & Announcements:

Classes & Workshops can start on the third week of April and end before June 27.

No Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 9 am to 6 pm – due to home schooling art classes

No Classes will be held on Saturday, May 17 – due to Artists on Location Auction

No Classes will be held on Monday, May 26 – due to Observance of Memorial Day

Proposals are due, no later than Monday, March 3, 2008.  You can mail your completed form to Garrison Art Center.

Remember, the success of your class registration partly depends on you.  We strongly suggest that you use whatever personal contacts you have.  In addition to listing your class or workshop in GAC’s Class Brochure, you need to advertise in various ways, on your own.  GAC will supply you with Class Brochures for distribution, (just check the box on the proposal).

GAC is pleased to announce that Steve Bates is on staff to coordinate classes and work with you on any class related issues. He can be reached at bateshouse@optonline.net or by phone 845-809-5167.
