| Contemporary artist Susan Minier, combines her strong sense of design with rich color to create unique, striking, fabric collage pictures. Her goal and her passion are to create artwork that delights the eye and lifts the spirit.
Originally an acrylics painter, Susan began creating collages using fabric in 1998. Inspired by her love of nature, her brightly hued and patterned scraps are combined into a unified whole. Each finished piece is a sophisticated, beautiful work of art with exciting and intricate surface textures.
Susan taught herself the art of creating hand painted floor cloths in 2001. In this "art for the floor", she incorporates a variety of decorative painting techniques such as sponging, combing and stamping as well as collage. She also leads workshops in creating collages and floor cloths.
Susan Minier studied fine art at the University of Miami and graphic design at Broward Community College both in Florida and painting at the Art Students League in New York. Residing in Cornwall, New York, she works out of her home studio.
