ARTIST STATEMENT |
| Two forces drive me to paint. At times the sheer beauty of a garden inspires reverence, and I paint to pay homage to the splendor in front of me. At other times my own loneliness overwhelms me, and I paint to explore my thoughts and feelings. And then there are the times when the two forces wash together. Pushed and pulled by light and darkness, I paint the tumultuous sensations themselves.
